Gandhara Mahajanapada was on of the sixteen Mahajanapadas in ancient India, listed in Buddhist literature Anguttara Nikaya. Taxila was the capital of Gandhara Mahajanapada.

This coin made of Silver and value is Shatamana, so it commonly known as Silver Shatamana. Gandhara symbols visible at both ends of the bent bar, known as Hexa-radiate symbol or 6-armed symbol.
