ஆர்ப்பரித்து கொட்டும்…. தண்ணீர்; அழகு மிளிறும் ஒகேனக்கல் அருவி!

ஒகேனக்கல் அருவி:
இந்தியாவின் சிறந்த நீர்வீழ்ச்சிகளில் ஒக்கேனக்கல் அருவி முக்கியமான ஒன்று. தமிழ்நாட்டில் தர்மபுரி மாவட்டத்தில் இருக்கிறது. தர்மபுரி இருந்து 47 கி.மீ., ஓசூரில் இருந்து 88 கி.மீ., சேலத்தில் இருந்து 85 கி.மீ., பெங்களூரில் இருந்து 146 கி.மீ., சென்னையிலிருந்து 345 கி.மீ., மைசூரில் இருந்து 180 கி.மீ., கோயம்புத்தூரிலிருந்து 217 கி.மீ, தூரத்தில் ஒகேனக்கல் அருவி அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த ஒக்கேனக்கல் அருவிதான் ‘இந்தியாவின் நயாகரா’ என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இது ஒரு அருவியாக இல்லாமல், பல அருவிகளின் தொகுப்பாக அமைந்துள்ளது. அருவிகள் கொட்டுவதை பார்க்கும்போது கண்கொள்ளாக் காட்சியாக இருக்கும். ஜூலை முதல் அக்டோபர் மாதம் வரை சுற்றுலா செல்ல சிறந்த இடமாக விளங்குகிறது. அடிக்கடி விபத்து நடக்கும் பகுதி என்பதால் மிகுந்த கவனம் தேவை. தமிழ்சினிமாவின் சில படங்களும் இங்கு படமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. சுற்றுலாப்பயணிகளின் சொர்க்க புரியாகவும் இந்த ஒக்கேனக்கல் அருவி அமைந்துள்ளது. இப்போது தண்ணீர் வரத்து அதிகமாக இருக்கிறது. காலை 8 மணியிலிருந்து மாலை 5 மணிவரை சுற்றுலாப்பயணிகளுக்கு குளிக்க அனுமதியுண்டு.

Hogenakkal Falls – Dharmapuri
In the first place, the Kaveri River is the source of Hogenakkal Waterfall. The waterfall situated in the Dharmapuri district of Tamilnadu. The 2200 Feet or 700 Meter height falls also known as the Niagara Falls of India by locals. There is a separate place for boating and bathing. Additionally, the food facility around there is good at a reasonable price. You can have a mind-blowing experience here. Boat riding is the best thing to try when you visit Hogenakkal Falls. Boat riding available on a dry seasonal time.
