Talakona Waterfalls
With a 270 feet-fall, Talakona is the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh. The region has a serne quality and it was declared as a biosphere reserve in 1989-90 because of the rich variety of flora and fauna here. The Talakona waterfall is in Sri Venkateswara National Park, Chittoor District of Andhra pradesh in India. With a 270 feet-fall, Talakona is the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh state. Talakona is also known for the Lord Siddheswara Swamy Temple, which is located close to the waterfall.
Worth one day trip from chennai
Around 200 kms from Chennai. | Roads are good till the parking lot except the last 1-2 kms. | Waterfall was decent at this time of year. | A bit crowded on weekends. May not be on weekdays. | Not much facilities to eat nearby though there is some hotel on the left just 500 mts before the parking area. | Ensure your safety.
