Only few books have been written on coin hoards found across India, but nothing Subjective has yet been done till date regarding Coin Hoards of Jharkhand, leave aside any book on this subject.

This paper reading at 103rd Conference of Numismatic Society of India is an attempt to bring forth the coin hoards of Jharkhand by giving a detailed account with reference of coins along with details of the rulers and the find place of coin hoard.

The aim is to completely document this topic for future use to any academicians, researchers and general public to know about the vast scope, rich history and trade routes running through Jharkhand.

In this paper I have attempted to bring out the Hoard details, it’s find spot, dynasties/ Rulers & Kings of the coins and historical facts related to this. Further work will be to link the coin Hoards & history in bringing out an interesting aspect of Jharkhand which has never been dealt with in the numismatic style. A simple plan of fact finding about all the reported & UN-reported Coin s Hoards of Jharkhand till date.

A Monograph is being planned to help researchers and academicians on the “Coin Hoards of Jharkhand”.
