This is a story of a Specimen Note of 1 Rupee. It was issued in 1969 to commemorate the Birth Centenary of Mahatma Gandhi. It was signed by I.G. Patel, the then Special Secretary, Ministry of Finance.

Such Specimen Notes were printed in an extremely small quantity and are worth a fortune.
