Welcome to PAATH History….
The early Aryan settlers were engaged in taking possession of the Land of the Seven Rivers (Saptasindhava). This often led to conflict between various Aryan tribes. The later Vedic works show a wider knowledge of Indian geography. They mention the two seas, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean and several Himalayan peaks and indirectly the Vindhya Mountains. During the period of the composition of the later Vedic texts the Aryans became generally familiar with the major portion of the Gangetic plains where they gradually settled. This video shows the eastward migration of the Later Vedic people.
