This video can be helpful to Indian War Medal collectors, British India War Medal collectors, Indian army medal collectors and all the others who collect Indian medals in general.
How and why did i start collecting them ?
Many numismatist or coin collectors have taken interest in collecting medals along with a collection of coins that they are mainly passionate about.
I also had started with collecting coins in 1984 during my school days and then later on started collecting medals somewhere in the late 80’s when my dad gave me a 2nd world war medal that belonged to my grand father .Slowly i started getting more medals and the collection grew.
Some of these medals in this video belong to my family and some were given as gifts by people who actually served in the army during that period, while the others were bought by me over a period of time.
I have been collecting them since about more than 20 years now, they actually are very close to heart. All these medals have some stories attached to it, and were once a part of the uniform that the actual soldiers wore.
I am proud to have these in my possession, and have taken utmost care in protecting them when stored in a box for safe keeping. I make sure that they are not touching each other when in the box.
The list of the medals in this Video are Given in the beginning of the video ,so that the viewer will know before hand what can be seen through the length of this video.
This video is just a small initiative towards imparting a peak into the history of the land.
The medals themselves have been the witnesses of the past wars that have taken place here.
I request all the viewers to respect and take care of the war medals that they have in their possession ,or are starting to build a collection soon in the future.
Thanks for watching.
