Today we will look at some paper money from the American Revolution! The note in the video above was printed by John Dunlap a famous American Printer who fought alongside George Washington in the Revolutionary War. This note is a rare 8 shilling piece of Continental Currency. It is signed by Michael Schubert. The front of this note reads:
“THIS Bill shall pass current for EIGHT SHILLINGS
according to an Act of GENERAL ASSEMBLY
of the Common Wealth of Pennsylvania, passed the Twentieth
Day of March, in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred
and Seventy-Seven. Dated the Tenth
Day of April, A.D. 1777.”
