‘Pattern Coin’, ‘Experimental Coins’ or ‘Trial Strike Coins’ – Are these concept of coins new to you? This video of Chillar Gyan introduces all the passionate coin collectors to one of the interesting concept of Numismatics which is about Pattern and Experimental Coins. Such coins are way different and unique from regular issue coins. Special features and very very less mintage of Pattern and Trial Strike coins makes them Extremely Extremely Rare coins and accordingly have very high valuation.
The videos explains this concept of Pattern Coins with an Extremely Rare Pattern Set having 2 design coins of 50 Paisa 1986, one coin of 25 Paisa 1986 and one coin of 10 Paisa 1986. As this Pattern coin set was introduce as sample coins before introducing Ferritic Stainless Coins in 1988. Out of these one design of 50 Paisa and 10 Paisa were rejected. Also we tried to explain Experimental Coins with a very beautiful coin of 5 Rs Dandi March Experimental coin. All these coins were auctioned at Todywalla Auction at a very high price.
